Otherwise, you will disturb you.)No room service They serve breakfast at 6 a.m. in most hotels. Be the first one down there. Dont worry about how you look. Room service takes 35 minutes. Eat from the buffet in five looking like a zombie and you can be back working i n your room.Onhauptplatine, dont access Wi-Fi That way, you cant be tempted by Netflix or John Oliver YouTube videos or emails that can wait. Youre in the sky to work. Gaze out the window for access to your Muse, but thats all the diversion you get until wheels down.No small talk with the attractive person next to youGet over yourself, Clooney wannabe. Youre not so hot that theyre going to changetheir connecting flight for you. This is a waste of charm and eignung work time.Fly out between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. whenever possibleAirports are ghost towns during these hours. Over the course of a year, I dont sacrifice fitness, but I save hours and am back in my desk chair working while you are signing in at the spa or searching for a real gym.Bring your luggage to the gate, even if it is monstrous and there is no way on earth it is fitting in the overheadTen minutes before the flight, I promise they will announce, in plaintive tones, that they will cheerfully check your luggage for FREE to your destination and you can pick it up plane-side, eliminating the baggage claim cluster.Uber takes three minutes, cab lines just under foreverCome on, keep up.Dont board until your group is calledSit down and continue working until they do last call. There is one airplane, and you have a seat. They start boarding 30 minutes before the flight. You standing up there sighing and hovering with your group 5 ticket is an utter waste.Of course, you dont have to do any of this. You can get People magazine and compare who looks better in Stella McCartney this mon th, or play video games, or be one of those people who put masks over their faces and plugs in their ears and catch up on sleep. Energy took center stage at the ASME Member Assembly held June 23 in conjunction with the Societys 2013 Annual Meeting in Indianapolis. A panel of distinguished energy experts, representing a broad range of energy sources and related technologies, discussed RD trends in emerging energy sectors.ASME Executive Director Thomas Loughlin mo derated the lively panel discussion, which featured topics ranging from solar and wind power to hydrokinetics, natural gas, hydraulic fracturing and other critical energy sources and alternatives. Panelists included Dr. Ranga Pitchumani, director for Concentrating Solar Power at the Department of Energys SunShot Initiative ASME Past President Susan Skemp, executive director of the Southeast National Marine Renewable Energy Center at Florida Atlantic University Dr. Satya Gupta, business development director for Production Enhancement Technology at Baker Hughes Pressure Pumping and Dr. Fort Felker, director of the National Wind Technology Center at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. A video, produced by ASME, featuring some of the latest developments in the emerging energy sector of concentrating solar power kicked off the one-hour event.
